Integrated Technologies

How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project?

I integrated a variety of technologies in the making of this project. Software-wise, I utilised a video editing software called DaVinci Resolve for the entirety of the editing process, from the cuts, to the colour grading, sound, credits and transitions. I used my phone for filming all of the scenes and for short term storage of the footage, and my personal computer for long term storage, as it has significantly more storage space than my phone, and also for running the editing software. I also used a cloud storage service, Google Drive, to store the footage, and other necessary files, and have them accessible across different devices. I used online resources such as royalty free sound effects for the sound editing process, in order to really enhance the immersiveness of the film opening through its sound design, as well as online tutorials for certain features of the video editing software that I wasn’t entirely sure how to use. Lastly, I used a website for creating blogs, called Wix, on which I documented the whole process of making this film opening, starting with the initial idea and research, and ending with the final cut of the opening.
