How did you integrate technologies - software, hardware and online - in this project? I integrated a variety of technologies in the making of this project. Software-wise, I utilised a video editing software called DaVinci Resolve for the entirety of the editing process, from the cuts, to the colour grading, sound, credits and transitions. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? My production skills greatly improved over the course of making this project. I’ve grown a lot more comfortable using a video editing software, and my editing choices became a lot more deliberate and had intention behind them rather than just being generic. How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? My product engages with the audience by speaking directly to them through the voiceover, and making the theme of the film opening apparent right from the beginning, so that the target audience has the chance to immediately resonate with it and with the character’s experiences. How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? My media product is situated within the coming-of-age/drama genre, so I followed conventions typical to this genre, such as the editing style, with its natural, slice-of-life flow and progression, and the character focused shots, where the character and their appearance is established and introduced to the viewer, so that the audience can get an idea of who this character
