Making of - day 1

The first day of filming went quite smoothly. Once at the first filming location, which was the cemetery, I quickly found a place which had exactly the kind of pathway I envisioned for the first scene. The weather was spectacular, the sky was a bright blue with some beautiful clouds, and the colours looked vibrant, which is exactly what I wanted the scene to look like. My sister helped me with some of the shots in which I had to appear as the main character, but I filmed every shot first, with her in them, to show her exactly how I want each shot to be framed and angled, and the camera movement necessary. After filming the first few shots, we moved on to the shots with the cemetery gate. I didn't particularly like the gate we had walked in through, I felt like it was too big and like the paved pathway that led to it didn't have the atmosphere I was going for, so I decided to film the next shots somewhere else. We made our way to a different part of the cemetery, where I found a gate that I liked the aspect of. At this second location, I was inspired by the scenery and took some more establishing shots and shots of the main character that I hadn't planned for and that weren't in the script, but I feel like they work really well.
