Moodboard

In this post I want to focus on the visual aspect of the film opening. I've created a moodboard consisting of some images I found that have a similar atmosphere with what I want to portray; they're mostly warm toned, well lit, and soft looking, which perfectly aligns with the idea I have in mind for my project.

My film opening will be a drama focused on one character and their journey of battling and overcoming mental illness, which is why I chose images with strongly saturated colours that look warm and vibrant. The atmosphere of the photos feels natural, real and hopeful, which is exactly what I want my film opening to feel like. Selecting these pictures also gave me a better idea of some angles I could use, of how the shots will be lit, and of how I want to frame the character in order to make them the focus. The movies and shows I mentioned below were of great help in figuring out the visual aspect of my film opening; they inspired me through the way in which they are filmed and the effect they have on the viewer, as well as the feelings they cause.
